Scale New Heights with Queer Crush Climbing
Feeling adventurous? Head to Pipeworks on the third Friday of every month for Queer Crush Climbing. This inclusive space welcomes LGBTQ+ climbers of all abilities and backgrounds to experience the thrill of rock climbing. Queer Crush transforms the Pipeworks space—featuring more than 11,000 square feet of climbing terrain and 2,000 square feet of bouldering space—into a haven where queer people can foster a sense of community and connection.
Unleash Your Inner Star at Open Mic Nights
Let’s admit it. You were made for the spotlight. Show Sacramento’s queer community what you’ve got at A Seat at the Table Books’ Open Mic Nights on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. It's a supportive environment where anyone can share their abilities from music and poetry to stand-up comedy. Bring your creativity and prepare to be impressed by fellow performers while you make talented new friends.
Get Bookish at the Lavender Library
Bibliophiles rejoice! The Lavender Library offers a variety of book clubs perfect for every taste. Dive into banned books on the second Monday of every month or explore eclectic genres on the first and third Thursday of every month. You can even connect with and support other LGBTQ+ writers every fourth Monday at the Queer Writers Salon, where you can give and offer feedback, refine your craft, and ignite your imagination.
