The Sacramento History Museum, located in the historic Old Sacramento Waterfront, shares the stories of how the city established, survived and grew from the gateway to the Gold Rush to the capital of California. In addition to the Museum, its programs are designed to engage and connect through history and make history accessible to all. Programs include walking tours of the historic district, underground tours, and living history re-enactors. The Museum also manages the Old Sacramento Visitors Center.
