May is a special time for cyclists in Sacramento as the region celebrates May is Bike Month, an annual focus on all things bikes in which locals are encouraged to get out and replace trips they'd normally drive their cars for with cycling trips.

Led by the Sacramento Area Council of Governments, the program aims to lessen congestion, increase awareness of cycling infrastructure, and showcase how bikes can be used as transport – not just for recreation. On this week's episode of the Visit Sacramento Podcast, SACOG Senior Program Manager Sabrina Bradbury shares how you can get involved in May is Bike Month – even if it's been years since you've hopped on a bike.
