Visit Sacramento is thrilled to announce the appointment of Mariles Krok as its new Chief of Convention Sales & Services Officer.
In this key leadership position, Krok will lead Visit Sacramento’s Convention Sales and Services division, overseeing the team of professionals who bring major meetings and conventions to the city. Mariles’ team also helps to support convention groups before and during their events in Sacramento, ensuring that they get the most out of their experience.
A California native, Krok comes to Visit Sacramento with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality and meetings & convention industries, most recently as the Vice President of Meeting & Partnership Sales for Visit Anaheim. In this dual role, she oversaw a team of destination experts charged with providing meeting professionals with the perfect options for meeting spaces, event venues, hotels, and more for any size event in Anaheim and Orange County, as well as oversight of all hotel and DMO partnerships, advertising, and sponsorship opportunities.

Prior to her position with Visit Anaheim, Krok held positions with the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board and Marriot International. She is also a highly engaged industry leader, having served as an active member and past president of Meeting Professionals International Southern California Chapter and serving on Meeting Professionals International’s Board Development Committee and Chapter Member Advisory Council.
