As Valentine’s Day approaches, there are still several Sacramento Valentine’s Day events you can book to share the day – or long weekend – with that special someone.
Federalist Public House
DIY Pizza With your Love
Valentine’s Day dinner reservations in Sacramento might be getting harder to find, but one option that still has tickets available is the That’s Amore couples pizza-making class at Federalist Public House. The head chef will teach you how to make Neapolitan-style pizza in a wood-fired oven. Also included in the ticket price is a beer tasting flight and a cookie-decorating opportunity.
The event runs from 9:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 15 at Federalist Public House, 2009 Matsui Alley in Midtown Sacramento. Buy tickets here.

Hop Aboard a Unique River Cruise
The River City Queen has been running cruises up and down the Sacramento River for 20 years, but now has a permanent dock space on the Old Sacramento Waterfront. If you’re looking for Valentine’s Day ideas in Sacramento, the River City Queen has you covered this year with several activities.
Make it a lunch date on Valentine’s Day Friday, Feb. 14 with a luncheon cruise that runs from noon - 1:30 p.m. and includes champagne (or sparkling cider for underage sailors), as well as a buffet served on the boat.
A Valentine’s Day sunset dinner cruise runs from 5 - 7 p.m. You’ll be welcomed aboard with a glass of champagne or sparkling cider, and dinner will be a buffet on the boat with beer and cocktails available for purchase.
An additional lunch cruise will also be held on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Join in a Midtown Scavenger Hunt for Restaurant Gift Cards
Are you the competitive type? If so, you should follow @ExploreMidtown on Instagram for a scavenger hunt kicking off Thursday, Feb. 13 in the district where you’ll have the opportunity to snag gift cards to a number of Midtown Sacramento restaurants, courtesy of the Midtown Association.
Starting around 11 a.m. (but it might be earlier, so get your coffee and get ready early), @ExploreMidtown will post a photo every hour of a Midtown location, and it’ll be up to you to follow the directions of the contest to be one of the lucky winners. Gift cards range in value from $25-$50, so they’re great whether you want to share with your significant other, or just treat yourself.
Some of the gift cards may include Paragary’s, Centro Cocina Mexicana, Red Rabbit Kitchen & Bar, Biba Ristorante Italiano, Harlow’s Restaurant & Nightclub, Tea Bar & Fusion Café, Ink Eats and Drinks or tickets to B Street Theatre.
See Cirque du Soleil's Amaluna
Cirque du Soleil is currently showing Amaluna through March 1, and there's still tickets available. The show is being held under a massive tent at Sutter Health Park, so make sure to see it while it's here.
