Cirque du Soleil is bringing its performance of Amaluna to Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento Jan. 22 - March 1.
Amaluna takes place on a mysterious island ruled by goddesses, and when a group of young men are washed ashore by a storm, a love story emerges that will have to withstand many tests.
Cirque du Soleil’s show features everything that fans of the group have come to love, most notably the high-flying acrobatics including artists suspended by straps from a carousel out over the audience, a teeterboard and uneven bars. The acrobatics are used not only to tell the story, but to provide a fast-paced theatrical performance that wows the audience. Part of the show even features an underwater balancing performance in a giant clear bowl on stage.
