Ask someone from Sacramento what the most exciting thing happening in the city is right now, and you might hear about the Sacramento Kings, Major League Soccer, or enhancements to the Old Sacramento Waterfront, but two things you’re almost certain to hear about are food and murals.
Sacramento is America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital, which means you won’t find fresher food anywhere else, and the chefs who prepare it look at it as an artform.
And speaking of art, the city has come alive with more murals over the past several years, bringing the total murals in the area to more than 650, with that number growing every year. Murals have become so ingrained in the culture of the city, that when you visit the restaurants, you’re more likely than not to get a side of art.
As you’re out exploring the different neighborhoods in Sacramento, make sure to check the walls inside and out, especially when you stop for a bite to eat.
