Stephen L. Hammond
President & CEO, Visit Sacramento
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Visit Sacramento since 1999, Steve is proud and honored to lead a team of sales and marketing professionals who are committed to increasing revenue and stimulating economic development for the Sacramento region.
Steve was formerly the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Long Beach Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. Prior to his service in Long Beach, he was executive vice president of sales and marketing during a seven-year stint with the San Jose Convention & Visitors Bureau. From 1973 to 1989, Hammond held a variety of sales and marketing positions with American Airlines and AirCal in Northern California.
Steve currently serves on the executive committee as the incoming chairman of the board for the California Travel Industry Association.
He also sits on the boards of the Sacramento Downtown Partnership, the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, the Sacramento Regional Sports and Education Foundation, the Sacramento Hotel Association, the Historic Old Sacramento Foundation, the Sacramento Traditional Jazz Society, the Sacramento Tourism Business Improvement District, and sits as the past chairman of the board for the Discovery History Museum and Science Center in Sacramento.
A native of California, Steve is an alumnus of San Jose State University where he majored in Industrial Studies. He is a member of the Professional Convention Management Association, the California Society of Association Executives, the American Society for Association Executives, the Society for Government Meeting Professionals, and Meeting Professionals International.
For nearly 25 years Clifford has held a supportive role to senior management for many types of businesses. She's worked for a high-end sporting goods store in Beverly Hills, a global marine business, and has assisted with condominium management for a national real estate business. And as if there was some divine intervention to prepare her for Visit Sacramento, she also worked for Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus. She is the only Visit Sacramento employee to be able to say that she ran away from home and joined the circus.
In her current capacity, Clifford works as an assistant to Steve Hammond, President & CEO. Key responsibilities include assistance with monthly board of directors meetings; liaison with board, elected officials and community stakeholders; and management of Steve's calendar.
Daniel Santucci, CPA
Dan has been a Certified Public Accountant for many years. His duties include all aspects of accounting for Visit Sacramento.
Sheri Graciano, PHR
Human Resources Manager
Graciano has spent more than 25 years in human resources in various industries including biotech, advertising, branding, Internet-based, and now hospitality.
Her current duties include recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, benefits management, payroll services, and training. She is also a great party planner and heads up the internal fun patrol, AKA the "Peanut Gallery."
Besides being the consummate HR pro, Graciano has the coolest Italian sounding name of all the Visit Sacramento employees.
Julie von Geldern
Julie von Geldern has been with Visit Sacramento since July 2003. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the main office and overseeing the Old Sacramento Visitors Center. Her duties include providing support for the entire 40-plus-person staff, ranging from computer assistance to keeping the office stocked with supplies. In addition, she supervises the front desk, office support and Visitor Center staffs.
Von Geldern led the office move for staff in 2004 from the previous building to the current one at 1608 I St. She oversaw the interior design of the office, the addition of new furniture and installation of office equipment.
Prior to Visit Sacramento, von Geldern was employed with Mering and Associates Advertising agency for 10 years as their Office Manager and Print Production Manager.
Julie enjoys golfing, running, skiing, swimming and spending time with her son, Erik
Office Services Coordinator
This Arkansas native joined the staff in 2000 as the Office Services Coordinator. He manages the office shipping and receiving, distribution of Visitors' Guides throughout the city and the U.S., pick-ups and deliveries, inventory of office supplies and mail services.
Upon leaving Arkansas, Smith ventured west to discover gold. Soon after arriving in Sacramento, Smith realized this river city was home. His background includes data entry and shipping and receiving. "Z's" number-one hobby is the Dallas Cowboys and all things Cowboys. He and his wife Stephanie have three children, daughters Talija and Lanice, and a son, "ZJ."
Nadine DeVincenzi is an Information Specialist with Visit Sacramento devoted to overseeing the front desk, assisting with tourist information, answering phones and handling all requests for Visitors' Guides. Prior to this she spent several years as a Legal Assistant and over 20 years in the Stock Brokerage business.
Nadine's favorite pastimes include theater, dance and spending time with her grandson.
