Join Sac Poetry for its final gathering of 2026! A free, relaxed afternoon of poetry, conversation, food and community at Robbie Waters Pocket-Greenhaven Library (Meeting Room). For this gathering, we’ll look at the words and people we carry with us. Bring a printed poem by you or someone else to share for our poem exchange. Leave your poem for another person and choose a different poem to take home. You’re also invited to bring something connected to someone you remember that you'd like to share - a photograph, letter, note, piece of handwriting or small keepsake - or a favorite poem, passage, quotation or piece of writing that has stayed with you. Don’t have anything to bring? Just come! You don't have to be a poet to join us. Come on your own or bring a friend and spend the afternoon around the table with poetry, food and conversation.
