Join local artist and instructor Catherine as she guides participants in learning to master watercolor techniques. In this class students will create 3 separate holiday cards with a different technical emphasis on each. Christmas Tree in the Snow will focus on wet-on-wet technique with fun splashes of color. The holiday wreath will work on layering. Berries and springs will be added for a fun flare. Christmas Ornaments will show you how to use salt for a unique snowy look. This class is open to beginner and intermediate watercolor students. Materials for this class are not provided for this class. Students must bring all required materials. Materials needed: Container for water Mixing palette Watercolor set Watercolor brushes Heavy watercolor paper, 3, 5 inch x 7 inch sheets along with extra scratch paper. Spray bottle White paint or pen Tracing paper (if you are uncomfortable with drawing) Bowl or plastic container to make a large circle Pencil, eraser Scissors and clear glue or matte medium Instructor Bio: Catherine L. Taylor is a mixed media and watercolor artist. A lifelong artist, she discovered watercolor in 2020, during the pandemic. She fell in love with its fluidity and meditative qualities. She now teaches workshops on watercolor as a form of meditation and stress relief for both her and her students.
