Christmas Nostalgia Concert presented by Cantare Chorale and Folsom Lake College Falcon's Choir

Christmas songs rekindle the season’s anticipation and memories of cherished people, places, and traditions. This December, Cantare Chorale of the Sierra Foothills and Folsom Lake College Falcon’s Choir invite audiences to rediscover those memories in Christmas Nostalgia, conducted by Mariia Pechenova. The program brings together beloved Christmas favorites, beautiful choral works, and a touch of holiday humor. The graceful beauty of Mozart’s Laudate Dominum invites reflection, while It’s Beginning to Look Like Christmas and Frosty the Snowman recall the anticipation and fun of the season. Where Are You Christmas? offers a tender reminder that the joy of the season can return in unexpected ways. The choirs will be joined by guest artists Gavin Dudgeon on violin, Jasper Hu on cello, and Paul Tumbagahon on percussion. A special moment comes with Silent Night, as the gentle sound of handchimes accompanies an invitation for the audience to sing with the choirs. Together, performers and listeners share a familiar carol that has been part of Christmas celebrations for generations.
