Events

All year round, LGBTQ people in Sacramento can look forward to recurring special events and annual celebrations that are equal parts loud and proud. From our Pride Festival & March to the Sacramento Rainbow Festival, add these can’t-miss events to your calendar so you’ll never miss a moment.

Can’t-Miss Annual Events

Sacramento PRIDE Festival and March

Every June, Sacramento Pride gets the LGBTQ community and allies up and out for a weekend of fun, festivities, and activism. The SacPride Fest regularly features entertainers, guest speakers, kid's activities, and more. The weekend culminates in a Pride March that leads community members to the Capitol Building alongside colorful floats and music with a focus on social justice issues affecting the queer community.

Sacramento Rainbow Festival

The Rainbow Festival is an annual street fair that takes place every year over Labor Day weekend and consists of exhibitor booths, food stations and live bands. This festival raises money for charities that have significant importance to the queer community.

Recurring Events

Drag Queen Bingo

B-4 you go…head to Mango’s on the first Thursday of each month for a night of good, old-fashioned bingo with a modern, high-fashion twist. Local drag performers walk you through an exciting evening of comedy and gameplay that benefits a different queer-focused charity every month.

Sacramento Gay Brunch

Would you rather dine like the queer locals or with the queer locals? In Sac, you can do both. Sacramento Gay Brunch is a community-organized group that meets every other Saturday at 10 a.m. for a delightful brunch at a different local restaurant throughout Midtown and Downtown. Details are posted on Meetup a week prior, and RSVPs are encouraged.

QueerFest Sacramento

Diversity is central to this queer social group, which hosts events regularly throughout the year. Gender-queer people from every background, identity, and profession are welcome for these fun, low-key events that include dance parties, film screenings, networking events, and more. Keep an eye on the group’s event listings for opportunities to convene with this growing rainbow community.

Sacramento 365

While Sacramento 365 isn’t an event itself, it's a valuable resource for anyone looking for ways to connect with the community outside of annual or recurring engagements. The site provides the latest information on arts, entertainment, one-off and special events, workshops, festivals, and more. You can even filter events by age or LGBTQ-specificity.
