Our Chinese pioneers of the 1800's, the first of our Asian and Pacific Islander community, were the only people to carve out a town in The Railyards and call it home. To the Chinese pioneers their town was "Yee Fow," translated from Cantonese as "Second City." The Yee Fow Center for History, Culture, and Trade will provide Sacramento with an exciting new international entertainment and tourist destination point. The Yee Fow Center will also provide new business, culture, and educational opportunities in partnership with California and China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asian and Pacific Islander countries. We feel Sacramento, and Califonia as a whole, deserves no less.
