Steamers is the perfect destination for enjoying an artisan coffee or espresso beverage, or a fabulous breakfast, lunch or weekend dinner featuring fresh salads, burgers, sandwiches, soups and panini. We take pride in offering a variety of craft beers and California wines, locally roasted coffees and house made pastries.
Steamers opened in 1994 as a coffee roasting company and has evolved into the beloved go-to cafe in the Old Sacramento Historic District enjoyed by locals and visitors 364 days a year! The helpful service team and kitchen staff are the best in the business, often offering tips and insiders knowledge on the best places to see and things to do in the District. Our internal motto is “unparalleled attention to every detail”, and the results are evident in the smiles on our customers’ faces every day.
Our menu is pocketbook and vegetarian-friendly, with produce that is always fresh and breads and pastries that are locally baked. All our batters, dressings, sauces, seasonal soups, and daily specials are made from scratch.
Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, Steamers is still owned and operated by one of the original owners, and still has loyal customers who were patrons on the very first day. So whether you live across the street or “across the pond”, pay us a visit the next time you are in California’s Capitol. If you like homemade, you’ll love it here at Steamers. -
