Located in Sacramento at the former McClellan Air Force Base and includes a wide variety of beautifully displayed photos and written history dating back 150 years to the Gold Rush--the beginning of our state's rich foundry history. The lobby museum offers a wealth of visual displays and information about the casting process, general California foundry history, and castings used in transportation, defense, water control, and recycling. Currently the museum is only open by appointment (Mon-Thurs), and closed Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. For museum tours, please contact (916) 933-3062.
