Program Description

Sacramento has more to offer group tours than ever before and we here at Visit Sacramento are ready to put our money where our mouth is by incentivizing group tours. We want to prove to you and your groups that Sacramento is a great addition to any California itinerary, so we’re offering an incentive for new tour groups to help you discover all our city has to offer. 

The offer is simple: For the time period of July 2019 to Dec. 2020, if you work with Visit Sacramento and bring 250 hotel room nights to town, your company will receive a $2,000 check. If you reach 500 room nights, it’s $5,000. It doesn’t all have to be one group, but just the total number of room nights for the year.

How to Get Your Incentive
Contact Visit Sacramento Tourism Team to coordinate your group arrangements in Sacramento.  We will assist you in developing an itinerary or simply booking a Sacramento stay.  Our team is happy to send out a lead to our partner hotels on your behalf, or if you already know where you’d like your group to stay, just let us know. We do not send standard leads out as that will just make your job more difficult.  We are here to assist you with not only lodging, but restaurants, sightseeing, step-on guides, farm tours, breweries, wineries, museums and more. And we can provide some great ideas for the development of your Northern California itinerary.

Group Tour Eligibility

The rebate offer is for new tours that have never booked in Sacramento or existing tours that produce trackable incremental room nights at the incentive levels (250, 500) only. Offer is for first 10 eligible companies to achieve qualifying actualized room nights.

Room Nights Eligibility
The groups qualifying the operator for the incentive must arrive between July 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020.  All rooms must be booked at a Sacramento STMD Hotel (a complete list can be provided by Visit Sacramento) and all bookings must be made through the tourism sales staff of Visit Sacramento.  The room nights required by the incentive may be accumulated through multi-night or multi-group stays.  

Payment
Payment will be made once the group arrives which earns the operator the specified number of room nights.  Payment is non-transferable and may only be made to the company that worked with Visit Sacramento.
