Mills Station Arts & Cultural Center (M.A.C.C.) is featuring the Vivian Lee Quartet. The Vivian Lee Quartet is a premier Sacramento-based jazz ensemble led by award-winning vocalist Vivian Lee, a "musical raconteur" celebrated for her sultry, velvet-toned voice and unique storytelling. Specializing in the standards of the Great American Songbook, the quartet delivers a sophisticated "hip bop swing" reminiscent of classic 1950s piano trios. The group features a core rhythm section consisting of Brenden Lowe (piano), Buca Necak (bass), and Jeff Minnieweather (drums). A veteran of the Northern California jazz scene, Lee has released five albums, including the critically acclaimed Let’s Talk About Love (2018), which reached the JazzWeek Top 100 charts. Her accolades include multiple SAMMIE awards and induction into the Black Music Association of America Hall of Fame.
