A series of free summer cultural programs is being offered on Fridays this summer, starting June 7th and running through August 2nd. All of the programs will be offered on the Sacramento State University campus in Del Norte Hall, Room #1004, except the first, June 7th program, which will be held at the Sojourner Truth African Heritage Museum at 24th Street and Florin Road. Topics will include African-American history, culture and textile arts, Mexican murals and Latin American arts, and Chinese and Japanese traditional music. On two of the Fridays an optional visit to the university’s new planetarium will also be offered. The Renaissance Society provides learning and social opportunities for mature adults in a casual and fun atmosphere. For more information and to register please go to the Renaissance website at
