The Renaissance Society Fall Semester

The Renaissance Society at Sacramento State is excited to announce member registration is now open for the ’24-’25 academic year. The society provides learning and social opportunities for older adults in a fun, casual atmosphere. For $100 per year adults can take unlimited courses and participate in activities and interest groups. Last year over 1700 members participated. This Fall opportunities will be offered in a wide range of subjects and activities including American and world history, current affairs, music appreciation, art, health and personal growth, group dinners, reading groups, walking groups, game playing, personal investing, cinema, science and engineering topics, digital photography and many more. No formal education is required. To better understand the courses and presentations offered take a look at the Fall semester catalogue that is posted on the Society’s website. Many programs can be attended online through zoom. On Fridays typically 25-30 programs are available for in-person participation on the Sac State campus. Many one-time presentations on current topics and other subjects are also offered throughout the year. Classes begin September 3rd. . An on-campus open house, open to all, will be held on August 16th in the University Union Ballroom.
