The Swing Collective is a classic big band based in the greater Sacramento area. While a love for classic swing era music brought us together and makes up the largest part of our musical repertoire the band performs a variety of jazz and popular songs to entertain listeners of all ages. The band varies in size based on the performance venue. Generally, you will see and hear Swing Collective in its full size of 19 musicians. This includes our fantastic vocalists. The band considers the MACC it's home as it practices here every Tuesday Night. Typically, once a year the group plays a full 2-hour concert at the MACC from the porch. These concerts create fun, community, and most of all the fantastic sounds of this hard-working community band. If you have never heard the Swing Collective live, now is your chance to do so for a nominal fee of $5 a person. Chairs and tables are provided, and the food truck "Chunky Chicken" will be here serving up some delicious cuisine for your dining pleasure. Inside the gallery you can purchase beer and wine for just $5 a glass and wonder around to see the exhibit that is showing on the first and second floors of the gallery. Our concerts are a great way to get together with friends, family or have a night out with your sweetheart. You can purchase tickets ahead of time or pay at the door. Some concerts will sell out.
