Safari on the River at the Sacramento Zoo

Embark on another wild and thrilling journey at Africa Hope Fund's Safari on the River fundraiser, set against the captivating backdrop of the Sacramento Zoo. Picture yourself sipping cocktails from the observation deck, gazing out over graceful giraffes and exploring the antics of playful lemurs and other delightful animals. The night promises an extra dose of excitement with a live auction, featuring coveted prizes like exclusive safari trips that you could snatch up.This is an evening of enchantment, adventure, and a shared commitment to conservation and education.

Our literacy centers provide books, learning materials, and safe spaces for children in overcrowded schools to grow academically. With trained reading assistants, they help students build reading and writing skills in English, foster a love of learning, and support stronger school performance. Today, our six centers serve over 2,500 children each week and are helping break the cycle of poverty through education.

Through our partnership with Conservation South Luangwa, we also help support vital conservation efforts in Zambia, including the detection dog program, which plays an important role in protecting wildlife and combating poaching.
