Who hasn't at some point needed a picture of their masterpiece? Whether it is to show to a client or a gallery or a submission to a competition or just to post on social media there are times when an accurate representation of your work is essential. As artists we can take some really great photos with our smart phones. However, our phones do not always capture the color, light or texture of our work. As an artist, images of our artwork are our most important asset for entering art competitions or printing reproductions. A poor image of a great piece of art could be detrimental to our livelihood and records. This session is for 3D art. A separate session will be scheduled for all 2D work. Please check back for that announcement. At Sac Arts we have created a new pilot program to help artists obtain quality photos of their art. Sign up to have your art professionally photographed. Artists will have a large jpeg and tiff file for future use. PHOTOGRAPHER: Dana Davis Instructions: 1. Register for the number of pieces you would like photographed. Each registration equals one piece for photographing. 2. On the day of photographing bring your art and a storage drive (also known as a flash drive or thumb drive). Do NOT frame your art. The photographer will not be able to photograph framed art. 3. After the session, your storage device will be left with photographer. The photographer will edit your photos and place them on your storage device. Please allow up to two weeks for completion of editing. 4. Sac Arts staff will call you when your flash drive is ready for pick up. Important: Members must be logged in to receive member discount. Call Sac Arts if you need assistance.
