Play Ball! Sacramento in the National Pastime Exhibit

Coinciding with a new baseball season in the Capital City, the Sacramento History Museum presents Play Ball! Sacramento in the National Pastime, opening May 1. Located in the R. Burnett & Mimi Glide Miller Gallery, the exhibit explores Sacramento’s 175-year baseball history—from Gold Rush-era teams to today’s games at Sutter Health Park. Featuring historic uniforms, equipment, photographs, tickets, trophies, and memorabilia, the exhibit highlights Sacramento’s deep connection to America’s pastime and the diverse communities that helped shape the game.

Play Ball! will be on display through October 18, 2026. The museum, located at 101 I Street in Old Sacramento, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day).
