Local musician and entertainer, William Mylar, celebrates his 70th birthday with an all-star music program to benefit Cystic Fibrosis at the iconic Torch Club. Performing for Sacramento area audiences since he was 13 years old, beginning with his work at the Music Circus, Mylar created a career as a singer, composer, and musician. Music has taken Mylar around the world, performing with many famous artists, and writing music for all forms of media. Mylar’s connection with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) began with a younger sister who was afflicted with the terminal disease. Through research and medical advances CF patients can live much longer, productive lives now. Mylar has always been a supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Research Institute and the support group, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and always will until there is a cure. All proceeds from this event will benefit both organizations. Mylar, who usually performs for no cover, has requested a $20 plus donation for this event, but any amount will be accepted at the door. Known primarily for his gifted singing voice and extensive catalog of original and cover music, the show will feature many of Mylar’s musician friends, who are some of Sacramento’s finest. There is nothing like a William Mylar show and this one will be extra special!
