“Great Scott!” Come time travel to 1955 as Councilmember Katie Valenzuela and the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) host a free showing of the blockbuster hit: “Back to the Future” in Fremont Park at 1515 Q Street during Second Saturday, October 14th at dusk. Get up close and personal with the biggest star of the trilogy, the DeLorean Time Machine, which will be on-site for photographs from 5pm to 6:30pm!
Bring your own blankets, seating and snacks or enjoy the free popcorn from Councilmember Valenzuela’s office, CADA and the YMCA. Check out local businesses and explore our partner booths featuring face painting, crafting, music, and much more!
For an even more immersive experience, join Project Lifelong at 4:30pm just two blocks away at the CLTRE Club patio, 1409 16th Street, for skateboarding demos so you can learn some of Marty McFly’s best tricks! The 28th & B Street Skate & Urban Art Park will also have information available about their upcoming Sk8 Camps!
Skate or hoverboard to Fremont Park around 4pm to show off your best Back to the Future costumes in front of the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance backdrop. Whether you go 50’s, 80’s or the timeless Doc Brown, make it one for the history books! Want to make a day of it? From noon to 4pm, in partnership with the Midtown Association, CADA is sponsoring Second Saturday in Fremont Park, complete with glitter tattoos, face painting, giant bubbles, an Instrument Petting Zoo hosted by Bigger than Us Arts and family-friendly music with Brian Rose. A food truck will also be on-site for purchasing options.
