Join the California Black Chamber of Commerce Foundation and KDEE 97.5 FM for a powerful Juneteenth screening of Ain’t No Back to a Merry-Go-Round—an untold Civil Rights story that sheds light on the 1960 Glen Echo Park protest, a pivotal moment in American history. Before the March on Washington, there was Glen Echo, where a white-led community joined Black activists in the first successful desegregation effort of an amusement park. Narrated by Emmy-winning voices Jeffrey Wright and Mandy Patinkin, this film challenges us to reflect on how collective action can lead to lasting change.
