Music Producer Andrew Lozano Is Set To Host The Official Record Release Party For His New Album, "Hometown Heroes Vol. 1," At Oak Park Brewing Co., Located At 3514 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95817. The Highly Anticipated Event, A True Celebration Of The City's Hip Hop Scene, Is Confirmed For Saturday, November 8, From 7 PM To 10 PM. Andrew Lozano began his musical journey at age 11, playing bass and piano in various bands before shifting his focus to production under the name Freqy Music Group. Lozano has since become a household name in Sacramento's music scene, making a significant impact as a producer and engineer for local artists like Billy Lane, El Conductor, Live Manikins, and Roving Jewel. Lozano's expertise has also led to work with several labels, including Om Records and Pan Handle, in addition to his own Freqy Music Group. With previous releases including "Conceptualize" (January 2021) and "High Tide" (September 2021), his most recent album is "Hometown Heroes" (May 23, 2025). “The record brings together authentic lyricism, soulful beats, and community-driven storytelling that resonates with both hip hop fans and vinyl collectors.” Lozano explains. “Hometown Heroes, Vol 1” brings together a powerhouse lineup of early 2000s Hip Hop artists from the Sacramento region. The project features members from several iconic local crews, including S3LF and his brother Flave, Mr. Lingo and SkratchMiyagi (also known as DJ Rated R), all representing Live Manikins. DJ Rated R is also a member of the well-known Sleeprockers DJ crew. The album also includes artists from The People's Revolution, such as Old Ghost and VNDL SVG (Mic Jordan) and Crush Cuf from Sac’s original Hip Hop crew, The CUF (California Underground Funk). Rounding out the project are celebrated local artists like 2Ugli (who is signed to Fat Beats Records), Nytelife (who is also a producer and podcast host of Mitchell Media Review), DJ El Conductor and Melkez, a Sacramento fixture known for hosting shows and his freestyling skills. “Hometown Heroes” is available on a limited-run, 180-gram eco-colored vinyl, priced at $30. Each record in this first pressing is visually stunning and one-of-a-kind, with unique colorways in shades of marble, purple, ruby red, and maroon. The vinyl will be available for purchase at the listening party, on Bandcamp, and at local record stores such as Twelves Wax. In addition to the exceptional audio experience that starts at 7 PM, guests are welcome to enjoy a selection of craft beer, wine, and a taco food truck on-site.
