Ensemble Sangineto breaks moulds. Comprised of three experienced musicians (the Sangineto twins Adriano and Caterina on Celtic harp and bowed psaltery, plus Jacopo Ventura on guitars), their mix of traditional Italian with Celtic, classical, jazz, medieval, and more has been getting rave reviews from audiences and producers alike. As have the unique instruments! Caterina’s gorgeously soaring voice, stunning three part harmonies, and complex arrangements propel the band into a potent force onstage.
Carnegie Hall called them “a unique ensemble indeed,” and they were invited to be Official International Showcase Performers for the Folk Alliance International Conference this year. They were even offered a concert with the Library of Congress concert series!
