The first play at B Street Theatre since COVID-19 shutdown!
In this audacious new play from Clare Barron, a multi-generational collection of actors digs deep into their pasts to portray a pre-teen dance troupe. Fierce, funny and wholly original, Dance Nation will blow you away.

To think I waited a year and a half to get back to live theater and to have Buck Busfield open the season with this garbage is unforgivable. this play is not about insight into pubescent girls, it's not about young people finding their way into puberty, it's about a writer's want to use profanity and "in your face" script to woke people up.
As my wife and I walked from the theater, I told her had we not attended with others, I would have walked out as it was such a poor offering. She turned to me and said, "yes, me too, but beyond that, dance teacher Pat came off as a pervert". This play is not art, it is a production of in your face, shock theater.
Buck needs to remember his audience. This play is revolting. Shame on The Sofia, shame on Clare Baron and shame on Buck.

This was not a rendition of 13-14 year old dancers & definitely not art! It was complete garbage, foul language and disturbing!
