Buy Now – Taner Paşamehmetoğlu “Buy Now” marks Pasamehmetoğlu’s first solo show, presenting a body of work that interrogates identity, sustainability, and the absurdities embedded in America’s consumer and corporate systems. The exhibition draws its title and inspiration from a poem he wrote while working in corporate America—a moment of clarity during a period of conflict. Through humor, bold color, and a playful visual language across new paintings and upcycled mixed-media installation, Pasamehmetoğlu both celebrates his departure from a world that once consumed him and creates space to mourn the one we are all still forced to consume. Taner Paşamehmetoğlu is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work integrates storytelling, themes of sustainability, and reflections on his own cultural hybridity. While he primarily works with vibrant colors in oil and acrylic paint, his process also often incorporates upcycled mixed media and experimentation with natural elements, blurring the boundary between artist and environment. In 2024, Paşamehmetoğlu completed an artist residency with the City of Sacramento’s Office of Climate Action and Sustainability, culminating in a collaborative community mural that is now part of the City’s Art in Public Places Collection and on display at the Joe Mims, Jr. Hagginwood Community Center. His work has been exhibited throughout California, and his painting The American Dream was recently included in curriculum at UC Berkeley. Paşamehmetoğlu currently works out of his home studio in Sacramento and is a member artist at Axis Gallery and Atrium 916. @tanerpasamehmetoglu tanerpasamehmetoglu.com January 9, 2026 through February 1, 2026 Second Saturday Reception: January 10, 5–8 PM Join us at Axis Gallery, located at 625 S Street in Sacramento’s historic R Street Corridor, within the Verge Center for the Arts building.
