Sacramento band Dance Gavin Dance is headlining Tree City Sessions Volume 2, a worldwide pay-per-view streaming event that not only showcases a fan-voted setlist, but is performed from Sacramento's iconic Tower Bridge. It's set to be broadcast at 4 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents – the same team that brings the Aftershock Music Festival to Discovery Park – this streaming event also highlights Sacramento in a pre-show segment, as band members show SiriusXM's Caity Babs their favorite spots around California's capital city and significant locations in the band's history.

“Sacramento has a deep history of prominent bands that call our city home, and we’re excited to add Dance Gavin Dance to that list,” says Mike Testa, President & CEO of Visit Sacramento. “You can tell by their heartfelt words, and their energetic performance, that they love their hometown as much as we do, and we’re proud to showcase them on the region’s most notable landmark, the Tower Bridge.”

The genre-defying quintent released its ninth studio album, Afterburner, earlier this year, which has already amassed more than 70 million streams.

According to the event press release, the group merges "progressive rock and posthardcore with thick groove, brilliantly combining experimental music with hooks and a warped sense of humor." So far, the Afterburner digital release has topped charts including the Current Albums, Alternative, Billboard Top Albums, Digital, Current Digital Albums, Rock, Heavy Rock and Current Independent Albums charts and #14 on the Billboard Top 200, among others.
