The Tree Lighting festivities will include live performances, a visit from Father Christmas, and much more. Visitors can join the fun and watch as Mayor Kevin Johnson flips the switch to light the tree.

The 17th annual Run to Feed the Hungry is a 5K and 10K fun run and walk. This event has become a part of Thanksgiving tradition for Sacramento families. It is owned and operated by Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) and funds raised through registration, sponsorships, and the give and win challenge all benefit programs at SFBFS.
