Sacramento’s best New Year’s Eve tradition lights up the skies above the Old Sacramento Waterfront with bright colors and flashes during the New Year’s Eve Sky Spectacular. This free celebration is open to all residents and features activities for the whole family to enjoy starting at 6 p.m.

The night will include children’s programming, live music, dinner specials, hot food and drink vendors and a variety of colorful street entertainment.

Schedule of Events
6 p.m. - 10 p.m. - Featured band Thunder Cover will entertain kids and families (with a break for fireworks, of course)
6 p.m. - 10 p.m. - Special kids activities, including inflatable arcade games for kids with prizes to win
9 p.m. - Sky Spectacular fireworks show!

Please Note: The entire Old Sacramento Waterfront district will be closed to ALL vehicle traffic starting at 4 p.m. on New Year's Eve. Tower Bridge will be closed beginning at 7:30 p.m. to ALL vehicle traffic and will reopen after the 9 p.m. fireworks display. Limited parking is available in the Old Sacramento garage, located on Second and I streets and the Tower Bridge Garage.

Luckily, SacRT is offering free rides on light rail from 4 p.m. until the end of service, so beat the traffic and take advantage. For more parking and transportation information, click here
