Sacramento offers unique meeting spaces in all shapes and sizes tucked away in places that might surprise you. Here’s the latest in a series of atypical venues for that off-site meeting or VIP reception.
Sacramento International Hostel
Set in the heart of California's capital city and only five blocks from the Sacramento Convention Center, the Sacramento International Hostel is a beautiful Victorian mansion built in 1885 by a Gold Rush millionaire, Llewellyn Williams. Step back in time -- the restored grand entry, vaulted ceilings, wood paneling, chandeliers, painted glass skylight and hand-painted tile work all add to the hostel's historic appeal.
The first floor of the mansion is ideal for off-site events, meetings or conferences. The formal dining room, family dining room, formal parlor, sitting room and grand foyer are all interconnected, but separated by sliding pocket doors so they can be used together for one large event or sectioned off into smaller rooms.
Rentals include coffee, tea, water; free WiFi; setup and teardown; and use of a 32-inch flatscreen TV with DVD, 6-foot-by-6-foot projection screen, whiteboard, flipchart, easel and pens.
