At an early age, we are taught the Golden Rule: Treat others as we would like to be treated. Unfortunately, we learn from experience: "Finders keepers, losers weepers." Thanks to Bob Shallit; we know integrity still shines in hospitable service.
A Folsom retiree & his brother took their 100-year-old mother to Scott's Seafood on the River. When they returned home, they realized a diamond-and-ruby ring -- valued at $9,000 -- was missing.
They immediately called the restaurant. After an after-hours search, waitress Elise Horton found it and Scott’s managers returned it. The family figured most would have pocketed the ring. Relieved, they are happy to know that "there are some honest people left in the world."
