The importance of a Sacramento site tour is simple and clear, and it’s said best by Dawn Myers from National Rural Water Association, “My association set up sites in several cities in California. Initially I was not excited about Sacramento, believing there was not much in this city. Of all the sites, the people in Sacramento rolled out the red carpet for us and made us feel like the only association on the planet! Sacramento wowed us. Clean, quaint, friendly, yet large enough to accommodate good size groups. Sacramento was everything we were looking for in a convention site. Sacramento truly knows how to say WELCOME.”
If that’s not enough, here are seven more reasons to tour Sacramento:
Sacramento’s Convention Package
The Sacramento Convention Package is walkable and convenient, which is what attendees appreciate the most. Skip the shuttles, valets and taxis and simply walk to and from your meeting rooms with ease. The package features the Sacramento Convention Center (384,000 sq. ft.) and two major convention hotels – Sheraton Grand (503 rooms) and Hyatt Regency (503 rooms). There are only 273 feet between the three facilities. That’s a stone’s throw away! See for yourself and view the video.
Over 10,000 hotel rooms
There are an additional 1,100 rooms within walking distance of the Sacramento Convention Center and a total of 4,000 rooms within a three-mile radius. Throughout the Sacramento region we have over 10,000 hotel rooms. Now that’s a lot of rooms.
Walkable
Not only is the Sacramento Convention Package walkable, but it is surrounded by Downtown and Midtown, where you’ll be able to walk to our entertainment mecca – restaurants, live music and theater, attractions, art and culture, nightclubs and bars, and shopping.
Location, Location, Location
Sacramento is one of California’s most accessible major cities. The Sacramento International Airport is 15 minutes from Downtown. It offers over 140 nonstop flights per day and limitless connection possibilities with 13 major airlines and regional carriers. You may also easily arrive by train, boat or car.
Farm-to-Fork Capital
Sacramento has been named “America’s Farm-to-Fork Capital.” There is no major city in America that is more centrally located amid such a diverse range of high-quality farms, ranches and vineyards than Sacramento. Come and taste the farm fresh produce and local flavors of the country’s premiere dining destination.
Ever Changing City
If it’s been awhile since you have been to Sacramento, be ready to be wowed. There are new restaurants sprouting up all the time. We are a true cosmopolitan city with small-town charm, and a diverse culture that gives us a character all our own.
True Partnerships
Develop personal relationships. Meet the people behind the bookings, the meeting space and hotel desks. See firsthand how Sacramento works on your behalf.
