When you send a group tour to Sacramento, we know you want to give them the best experience possible.  And sometimes, you need hotels, museums and other attractions at your destination to work with you to make your itinerary “click.”  Your itinerary might not fit into a 9-5 schedule.  Or you need a little something extra to “wow” your tours.

When you work with the Sacramento Tourism team to plan your group tour, you get a lot more than the expertise of our team.  A relationship with us means that you get an automatic relationship with all of our hundreds of partners. These partners are experts in everything Sacramento, from hotels to florists to motorcoach companies.  The SCVB Tourism team, with the help of our invaluable partners, is the best way to help you plan a seamless, memorable and affordable group tour to Sacramento.

Here are 6 ways we have worked with our partners to help our tour operator clients plan the best Sacramento group tour:

  1. Get early/late admission to museums to maximize your day.  When you have multiple destinations on your group tour, sometimes regular business hours just don’t work for your itinerary.  Recently Linda Eldred, Tourism Sales Manager, worked with one of our museum partners to allow late admission into their museum.  The group was able to fit the museum in their itinerary, and it ended up being one of the highlights of their trips.

  2. Share the “secret” bus parking locations in town.  Yes, there are secrets, and we are happy to share.  We can offer you cost-saving options for your motorcoaches.  And we can let you know the best locations to park your bus to maximize your time.  This includes working with our partners to gain access to private lots.
  3. Arrange for VIP tours of attractions, farms and more.  Sometimes, your groups want a little more.  Recently, I was able to get VIP access for one of my agritourism groups at a local farm – an SCVB partner.  The members of this group were able to get a more intimate glance at the inner workings of one of our local farms, including hands-on experiences and even a meet and greet with some new additions to the farm – newborn piglets.
  4. Get greeting from chefs, farmers, brewers and others to make your group’s visit special.  These guys are the experts, and your group can get the inside information from them.  These chefs, farmers and brewers are our partners, and we are happy to arrange meetings with them for your groups.
  5. Get the best rates from Sacramento’s hotels.  We have great relationships with our hotel partners, and we are able to use these relationships to help you choose the hotel that is right for your group.  Some groups need different amenities than others.  We work with our hotel partners on a daily basis, and we can help you decide which property is right for your tour.  We can also help you get the best rates and value add-ons.
  6. VIP entry and greetings at special events such as Gold Rush Days, Grape Escape, Farm-to-Fork Festival and more.  We know how to do special events in Sacramento, and we can get your group special VIP perks at many of our local festivals and events.

Special requests are no problem for the SCVB tourism team. Call us when you are planning your group’s visit, and we will use our relationship with our local partners to get you the VIP treatment.  Click here to email me about your next group tour.
