Thanksgiving Eve Canned Food Drive w/ Jackie Greene & Friends: Blue Lamp, Wed 8pm
As in years past, Jackie Greene, The Jackie Greene Band, and many of their musician friends will hold their traditional canned food drive to feed the hungry. You must bring a can of food to get in. This event sells out quickly so get your tickets early.

Pre-Thanksgiving Party: The Park Ultra Lounge, Wed 9pm-2am
Join DJ Peeti-V & DJ E-Rock of Infusion Lounge as they celebrate everything they are thankful for!

Thanksgiving Eve: MiX Downtown, Wed 9pm-2am
With no school or work the next day, begin the holiday season with gratitude and give thanks for all things amazing (booze, babes, & beats).

Pumpkin PieThese local restaurants will be open and serving delicious Thanksgiving food & desserts so you can celebrate without having to do the dishes! Reservations are recommended.

Ways to give back:

Run to Feed the HungryRun to Feed the Hungry: Sacramento State, Thurs Registration 7:30am-9am; 10K 8:35am; 5K 9am
Run to Feed the Hungry has become a family tradition for thousands of area families, as well as a favorite event for many of the elite runners in California. All proceeds benefit Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services.

Grocery bagThanksgiving Day Appetite Enhancement Bike Ride: California Automobile Museum, Thurs 9am-11am
Bring your friends and family together for this long-running fundraising event which has become a Sacramento tradition.

Food & Toy Drive: Sacramento Zoo, through Dec 31, Daily 10am-4pm
During the holiday season bring a non-perishable food item or a new and unwrapped toy when you visit the Zoo and receive $1 off your Zoo admission!

Fairytale Town Free Admission Day: Fairytale Town, Fri 10am-4pm
Free admission is offered to families who bring in a canned good the day after Thanksgiving. Activities during the event include an arts & craft activity and puppet shows by Puppet Art Theater in the Children’s Theater.

The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. Small businesses are the life blood of our community! Pledge to shop your favorite local businesses.


Arts & Crafts Holiday Fair: California State Indian Museum, Fri & Sat 10am-5pm
Enjoy browsing through jewelry, basketry, pottery, hand-painted gourds, ornaments, and much more, as you select those just-right gifts for the holidays.

Art & Craft FairHoliday Art & Craft Festival: Scottish Rite Center, Fri Noon-6pm;
Sat 10am-5pm; Sun 10am-4pm

Impress your friends and family with local handmade gifts while supporting local artisans and the Crocker’s exhibitions and education programs.

Mercado Navideño/Holiday Marketplace: La Raza Galeria Posada,
Nov 25-Dec 23, Wed-Sat 1pm-8pm; Sun Noon-6pm; 2nd Sat 1pm-9pm

The Holiday Marketplace will transport visitors to a traditional Mercado in Mexico with holiday music, lights, and piñatas. Shoppers can visit over fifteen unique vendors stands.
