For one week starting Aug. 20, 2016, artists will be taking to the streets of Sacramento to paint murals that will enhance the already-vibrant public art presence in the city in the inaugural Sacramento Mural Festival.

More than a dozen murals will be created by artists from Sacramento and around the world.

Artists include Add Fuel, Kristin Farr, Michelle Blade and Jake Castro. a full list of artists and their bios is available on the Sacramento Mural Festival Website.

Locations for the murals span much of the downtown/Midtown core of the city, and the map at the top of this post is also viewable on the Mural Festival website.

The event culminates on Aug. 27 with the ArtJam2016 party from 7-10 p.m. at 2015 L St. The fundraising event benefits arts education in Sacramento, and admission is $100 for an individual and $175 for two.
