SACRAMENTO, CA. - Sacramento County Airport System officials announced the highly anticipated opening date for Sacramento International Airport's new Central Terminal B at the California State Fair. The new, state-of-the art terminal will open October 6th 2011; in advance of the busy holiday travel season.

The modern, efficient terminal complex will debut an innovative mix of environmentally friendly design, eye-catching public art, and locally-based retailers and restaurants.

Two events will introduce the public to the new terminal: Experience B, a dance party celebrating the cuisine and culture of the region and Preview B, a public open house that will serve as a "dress rehearsal" for the airport's concessionaires and services. When the new terminal opens on October 6, the majority of airlines serving Sacramento International Airport will have new locations in Terminal A and Terminal B.
